SHINDOG KENNELS and SHINDOGS AIR
To contact the kennels, please visit http://kennel.shindogs.org  and request a phone call.

For boarding dogs there are few  options in Korea.  The standard way is to leave dogs at a ‘pet hotel’ – usually attached to  a vet’s practice or pet shop.  These hotels provide a box the size of a standard airline crate, and dogs are kept there all day and night. They only receive attention during business hours and have little chance to exercise.  However, they are safe and run by animal care professionals.

Leo & Jin, the couple who run these western standard SHINDOG KENNELS, strive to make sure the dogs are safe and happy during their stay. They also make sure that the dogs receive exercise, freedom and  interaction with humans who are around all day and night. The couple running these  kennels used to operate the Busan Abandoned Pet Sanctuary, BAPS which unfortunately closed down on September 2017. They are strict concerning health issues and are very experienced in dog handling. Leo and Jin also operate a pet international travel service for all types of pets.

For  cats, unfortunately, the  only boarding option is  to leave the pet with a friend or at a ‘pet  hotel’ or pet sitter could be requested over on Geoje expat or Geoje pets facebook page.

GEOJE ABANDONED ANIMAL LOVERS FOUNDATION (Geoje You Sa Mo)
This is a non-profit organization which was formed by a small group of animal lovers who help abandoned animals and aim to stop the euthanization of dogs on Geoje. They dedicate their time to taking abandoned dogs to the adoption centre and providing medical treatment if required, making the dogs ready for adoption. They also work closely with the Sagok Dog Shelter.

The organisation can be resourceful if you need information related to pet dogs.

You can help by donating to their fund (money is used for maintenance fees, pet medical fees, rental fees and food), volunteering, sponsorship program, foster care and adoption.
