Community Centers & Groups

LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMUNITY CENTERS

There is a Community Centre (Moonhwagwan) which is found in every residential area in South Korea, usually located in the middle of the city/town. These Community Centres provide help, including assistance for foreigners, especially for those married to a South Korean national. Babysitting and Korean language classes are held at most Community Centres for free, however Korean is taught using only Korean language as a medium. Some find this is challenging but it can also help to learn the language more quickly.
